What have you liked about Michigan rugby the most so far?
This is an extremely difficult question to narrow down to just one thing, but I would say being able to compete in intercollegiate contests in the maize and blue is just about the coolest thing in the world. The other best thing about Michigan rugby is tour. I’ve been on four tours (Prague, Bahamas, Pacific Coast, and Paris) each one was awesome in a completely unique way and they really bring the team together like nothing else can. Being able to travel the world and compete internationally because of Michigan rugby is truly awesome.

What legacy do you want to leave with the UMRFC?
The only legacy I really care about is that I tried my hardest to leave the club in a better position that I found it. A position where hopefully nobody has to deal with some of the things we’ve had to deal with in the last 4 years ever again.

In 5 years, what do you see yourself doing?
In five years, I would like to be graduated from Michigan’s Law school and starting my career.

Should we know about any notable family or friends?
My little brother plays rugby at Michigan State and I am some kind of cousin with Ty Cobb.

What’s some embarrassing childhood memory you can tell us?
I can remember once when I was in either kindergarten or pre-school I peed my pants and had to wear some girls pink sweatpants the rest of the day

Biggest fear?
Having a backs only practice with nobody but Coach O’Kane there to explain the drills.

Favorite food?
Pizza and/or French Fries

Any game day superstitions?
It’s not really a superstition, but I always like to have my gear clean and matching – “the better you look, the better you play”.

Favorite superhero and why?
I like batman because he doesn’t have any superpowers. He’s just a mega rich dude with sweet gadgets. And you can’t forget about the batmobile.

Best advice you’ve ever received?
Not so much advice as a way to live, but “Character is who you are when no one is watching”.
