UMRFC Wins Service Work Award

L to R: Niall O'Kane, Joel Conzelmann, Grady Bridges, Ian Etheart, Stu Roche, Andrew Swain, Matt Trenary

Michigan Rugby received the Club Sports Outstanding Service Work award tonight at the Club Sports Honors Ceremony. The club has devoted a significant amount of time to community service such as working blood drives, the Adopt-a-Family program over the holidays, and even service work at a church in Paris over spring break. The club prides itself in being more than just a team and this award is recognition of that focus.

The club was also up for the Outstanding Sportsmanship award while Grady Bridges and Joel Conzelmann were up for Male Athlete of the Year and Andrew Swain was a finalist for the Janet K. Wells Outstanding Leadership award. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners. Go Blue!
