Three UMRFC players, Mike LaCivita, Grady Bridges, and Kenny Andutan represented the Big Ten when the conference took on the ACRL this past weekend at Drexel University in Philadelphia. The game was part of the weekend’s CRC festivities.

Mike LaCivita started at lock for the team. Mike is a graduating senior who was recognized with All Big Ten Honorable Mention earlier this spring. Grady Bridges was the team’s flyhalf and is also an outgoing senior who made All Big Ten Honorable Mention. Kenny Andutan was used as a reserve loose forward and will be returning for his senior year this fall. Andutan is the current Michigan captain while LaCivita and Bridges were the past year’s captains.

The game was unfortunately a heavy defeat for the Big Ten. Maryland standout Matias Cima controlled the game en route to a 66-10 victory for the ACRL. The Atlantic Coast Rugby League mirrors the ACC and had players from Maryland, Clemson, North Carolina, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech.
