February Player of the Month: Chris Byer

As Chris enters his final semester as a UMRFC player it is important to celebrate his contribution both on and off the field to the club. While Chris’ senior season was cut short while recovering from an injury, once he returned he wasted no time putting his stamp on any game he played in, which included stepping into flyhalf for a half against Ohio State. His dominate work in the Kutztown game both in the scrum and in open play helped keep the game within reach. He also sets a hard working tone within the team and his positive attitude is infectious to the younger players. Although Chris will be missed next year on the field, it will be a massive benefit to the club when he brings his attitude, work rate, and toughness to the alumni association.
