Senior Giveback Pledge

Ann Arbor, MI- The class of 2017 had a goal at the start of the 2016-17 school year: leave their mark on the team and make a lasting impact for the future generations of Michigan rugby players.

With Giving Blueday just around the corner, the 11 seniors have created a new pledge centered around the theme of the day called “The Senior Giveback Pledge.” The goal of this initiative will have each senior pledge to donate $25 annually for the next 3 years. While this may seem like a small sum, the driving focus of this campaign is not a dollar amount but rather the spirit and commitment to giving back to the team.

As we build-up to Giving Blueday we will celebrate each of these seniors and highlight how donations have helped them and why they are excited to give back.

Check out the following posts to see each of our seniors get highlighted:

Day 6 Seniors: Mike Shay and Matt Ko

Day 5 Senior: Andre Cargill

Day 4 Seniors: Travis Sawyer and Ryan Hart

Day 3 Seniors: Jeremy Reid and Zack Burns

Day 2 Senior: Nick Azzopardi

Day 1 Senior: Albert Foo

Thank you to our seniors for making the pledge to continue their support of the team after they finish their academic careers here!

If you would like to donate on Giving Blueday (11/29/2016) you can do so by donating HERE.

I think it’s important to donate because it’s really more than a team. Michigan rugby is a family and a community, it has shaped my college career more than anything else in my life. I want to give the same opportunities which rugby has given me to the next generation of players.
