What was your favorite memory as a member of the club
That is an impossible question to answer. Michigan rugby provided me with more stories than I could ever hope to recount and my teammates continue to be a welcome and regular influence on my life here in LA so many of my former teammates continue to be my closest and most loyal friends.
Did you receive any special honors as a member of the club?
I had the honor of acting as social chair for the 707 S Division rugby house, in addition to the honor of playing alongside the saltiest and most soiled of all the Michigan rugby players ever to have worn the jersey.
What are you doing now?
Since leaving Ann Arbor I’ve been working in Los Angeles as a Visual Effects Producer for a handful of major studio productions and most recently have been producing animated shorts for Blizzard Entertainment’s latest game franchise Overwatch.
Any other interesting stories
You can’t spend time around the type of people I had the privilege of playing with and not come away with some incredible stories. Feel free to ask me over a drink if you’re ever on the west coast. Michigan ruggers always have a place to crash here if they need it.
Is there anybody you would like to nominate for future alumni of the month?
Sultan Sharrief if he hasn’t been nominated a dozen times already. Even if he has he deserves the honor again.
