1RM Deadlift: The maximum weight that can be lifted, through a full range of motion, on a barbell using the deadlift movement.

1RM Bench Press: The maximum weight that can be pressed, through a full range of motion, on a barbell using the bench press movement.

Illinois Agility Test: A multi-directional agility test involving cutting, weaving, and accelerations and decelerations. The athlete must navigate their way around the cones in the pattern prescribed in the quickest time possible. Laser gates are used by the UMRFC. More info can be found here.

40yd Dash: From a 2 point or 3 point stationary position the athlete sprints over a 40yd distance in the quickest time possible. Laser gates are used by the UMRFC.

12 Minute Cooper Run: On a 400m track the athlete has 12 minutes to run as far as possible. Distance in meters can be used to predict VO2max, a well established indicator of cardiovascular fitness.
