Why did you decide to play rugby?
I’ve been playing rugby since I was 12, I remember being introduced to the sport by my gym teacher at an even younger age and I thought it was the coolest sport of all time because it gave me an opportunity to run into people. As soon as I reached the seventh grade, when rugby is first officially introduced at my high school, I bought a pair of cleats and instantly fell in love.
What have you liked about Michigan Rugby so far?
The strong sense of community between teammates and the fact that we follow the silly rugby traditions that have been passed down through generations.
Describe your most memorable moment on the field:
When we beat Michigan state after losing to them last year, I remember one of my teammates being knocked out in the game last year in addition to fighting them last year so beating them was a great feeling.
What’s your most favorite rugby drill in practice? Least favorite?
My most favourite drill in practice is when we do live scrum drills, my least favorite is when we do conditioning drills
What other sports have you played?
Golf, football and wrestling, all done very poorly
What do you see yourself doing in five years?
Hopefully playing more rugby
What is an embarrassing childhood memory that you can share with us?
When I was in elementary school I thought quicksand would be a much bigger problem in daily life and warned other kids about it.
What is your favorite place in Ann Arbor?
Duderstsdt center
What is your biggest fear?
Heights
What is your favorite food?
Probably my mothers ossobucco
Do you have any game-day superstitions? Explain.
I have to wear my scrumcap, I don’t think it does a difference in terms of protection, but I’ve been wearing it ever since i started playing
Who’s your favorite superhero? Why?
Either Antman or Deadpool because I find their characters the funniest.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
All players have bad games, great players forget them
