Michigan Rugby Honored for Academics

This past year saw a handful of Michigan rugby players get honored for their academic achievements. The club stresses the development of players not only on the field but in the classroom. The ability for players to put forth this amount of work in different areas of their life is a testament to the quality of individual that goes to the University of Michigan.

The following players were named James B. Angell Scholars for receiving all A’s for two or more consecutive semesters.

The following players were on the College of Engineering’s Dean’s List or were awarded University Honors for obtaining a 3.5 or greater GPA in the previous term.

The following players graduated with Honors.

Drew Vecchio was awarded the William J. Branstrom Freshman Prize for being in the top 5% of his class.

Zach Kendall was awarded the Outstanding Student Leader Committed to MESA/Trotter Award for his work towards the Hip Hop Congress.
