Winter Practice Update

After a Fall Semester with limited activity, Michigan Rugby plans to return to full-team practices after the stay-at-home order is lifted on February 8th, twice a week at Oosterbaan Field House. The team, from staff to players, is eager and ready to play, but there’s a long way to go before things return to normal. Further, all players and staff are required to wear masks during practice, fulfill social distancing requirements, and must complete weekly COVID-19 testing to be able to participate.

In the meantime, Michigan Rugby has managed to stay productive through our lifting sessions, film studies, and individual ball skills training. In fact, Ethan Kaminski, our February Player of the Month, has broken numerous lifting records over this quarantine! Although the current pandemic and stay-at-home orders have made it difficult, Michigan Rugby is preparing itself for a promising season this coming Fall 2021 in the Big Ten.
