Wolverines Win 36 – 24 on the Road Against the Badgers

The Wolverines regained their momentum on a road trip to Madison, Wisconsin by defeating the Badgers 36 – 24. The first 15 minutes of the game did not come easy for the Wolverines. Along with a try and two yellow cards being given out in the beginning of the game, the Badgers took an early 10 – 0 lead. But the Wolverines persisted, scoring two tries within two minutes, from Conor Egan and Braden Loughnane, taking a 12 – 10 lead. Nearing the end of the half, Nathan Feldman scored another for a 19 – 10 lead. But the Badgers tighted the gap to 19 – 17 at the break. With about 30 minutes in the game left, Carter Lyon stiff-arms two Badgers to score, increasing the lead to 24 – 17. However, the Badgers did not back down, and scored another try to tie the game 24 -24 with 25 minutes left on the clock. With 15 minutes left, Thomas Majure rumbled in to regain the lead 29 – 24. And Alec Hanson’s quick tap try later secured the victory, 36-24.

Afterward, the Wolverine second side won against the Badger second side with a final score of 33 – 26, including a first career try from Barry Dechtman. Conor McNabnay also scored two tries, while Jackson Dabagia and Otto Janke scored a try each.
