Michigan Finishes 5th in the Big Ten

This week, the Wolverines finished their season with a win against the Boilermakers for the 5th place game, ending with a 33 – 14 win. The first half went the Wolverines’ way with a try by Braden Loughnane and a successful conversion by Nathan Feldman. With 18 minutes left in the half, Carter Lyon banked in another followed by a conversion made by Nathan Feldman to gain a 14 – 0 lead. To close the half, Bill Young scored a goal line try to enter the second half with a 21 – 0 lead with Nathan Feldman’s third straight conversion. The Wolverines’ momentum continued into the second half with a try by George Janke to place another 5 points on the board. With 5 minutes left in the game, Matthew Daines scored the final try, paired with another conversion by Nathan Feldman, for a 33 – 7 score.

Further, Senior Bill Young received the Man of the Match honored by the Chicago Lions for his exemplar performance on the field.

Finally, OSU won against Indiana for a 1st place finish while MSU gained 3rd place against Illinois.
