Three Wolverines Earn All Big Ten Honors

Nathan Feldman (with ball) is on the Second Team.

This week, Big Ten Rugby announced its All Big Ten selections for the 2022 7s season, and three Michigan players were among the 21 named.

Senior Nathan Feldman is Second Team All Big Ten. A fullback and wing in 15s, Feldman’s 6’1″ frame is suited for prop in 7s. Feldman led Michigan with 93 points this spring (9 tries, 24 conversions). He will return to Michigan for one final year in 2022-2023 as he pursues his master’s in naval architecture.

Juniors Braden Loughnane and George Janke are both Honorable Mention All Big Tens. Loughnane played scrumhalf and center in the fall 15s season, but he shifted to flyhalf this spring and will likely stay there. He tied Feldman with 9 tries, and also led the team with 237 minutes played across 18 games. Janke is a number 8 in 15s and prop in 7s. He contributed 7 tries and trailed only Loughnane in minutes played, with 215. Loughnane and Janke are the two team captains.

Congratulations to these three players!
