Congratulations to Rod Sorenson on being our August Alumnus of the Month! Rod played in the early 80’s and was a dominant player in the second row and enjoyed his time on and off the field with his teammates.

July Alumnus of the Month: Jason Wolff
Congratulations to Jason Wolf, our July Alumnus of the Month! Jason played for U of M from 1994 to 1997, for both the school team and the Ann Arbor men’s team. He made lifelong friends on both sides, and even won the Michigan cup in 1997.

Andrew Backer is a 6’0”, 210 lb junior forward. One of the newer members of the team, he is primed to make an impact on the field.
June Alumnus of the Month: Zeb Clemente
Congratulations to Zeb Clemente, our June Alumnus of the Month! Zeb played for U of M from 1990 until 2007, during a time when both current students and members of the Ann Arbor community played for the team. Zeb still continues to grow the sport of rugby in the state of Michigan to this day.

SISU™ Mouthguard May Player of the Month: Truman Stovall
Truman Stovall is a 6’0” center from Dexter, MI. A graduating senior, he’s been a major contributor to Michigan Rugby both on the field and off of it as our Community Service Director for three years.

May Alumnus of the Month: Glen Zatz
Congratulations to Glen Zatz for being our May Alumnus of the Month! Glen played for Michigan back in the 1970’s where he quickly learned to apply his high school pole vaulting skills on the rugby field, and became quite an elusive back. He continued playing rugby until 2019, when he was the only 64 year old on the field, and realized it was probably time to hang up his cleats.
